Let it grow as you share it

Do you want to
expand your love?

Love is the only thing that shrinks when you hold on to it and grows when you let it go.

In Buddhism, love means wishing for others to be happy and to have the causes of happiness. And it is not about stepping back and hoping someone else will help; wherever possible, it also includes the willingness to help that happiness come about.

Love is universal. It reaches everyone: not only the people we love or feel close to, but strangers, and even those we do not like.

This kind of universal love is impartial: free of attachment, free of aversion and free of indifference.

The reason lies in a simple recognition: everyone is the same. Everyone wants to be happy and not to suffer. People can act and think in destructive ways that end up making them unhappy. But they do so because they are confused, because they do not quite know what will bring them happiness.

So expanding your love is not about giving someone something they have not earned. It is simply about seeing more clearly.

So how does Sakin remind you of love?

The voice inside us is the voice of love and compassion. When we hear it, we become kind and conscientious; we are drawn toward the good, toward good natured thinking.

Life always speaks to us gently. We are the ones who make it hard.

Sakin is an intention that makes things easier and opens up space.

To expand your love, you first have to grow quiet enough to hear it. In that gap where the breath slows and the mind falls silent for a moment, you notice how gentle the voice inside you is. And the moment you offer that gentleness to yourself, offering it to someone else stops being an effort.

Give yourself one breath today

Set your morning intention, take three breaths, leave a little room for the voice inside you.
